I have been blessed with a husband that has the same tastes as me =]
We have been pondering baby names for a while now.
In high school, we always said we would have a son named Hunter.
But then we started to know way too many Hunters.
Cousins, primary kids, fellow classmates..
We fell out of love with that name.
We have both always thought that middle names are meant to be family names.
I love that we both agreed on that =]
Last night, on our way home from the beach, we decided on two names.
Ready?
=]
We both love them!
Chase Douglas Nelson
or
Jordyn Marie Nelson
Like them? Aren't they awesome?
If you disagree, I don't want to hear it.
I hate it when people tell other people that they don't like their baby names.
I think it's rude.
One of those things that you just do not say.
Anyway, back to the names.
Chris has a cousin named Chase, so we tried to think of another name.
But we kept coming back to Chase.
It just feels right.
So we're sticking with it =]
Douglas, is after Chris's Dad.
He goes by his middle name, Raphael, but Chase Raphael just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Jordyn is actually a name that I saw on an "Adopt a Road" sign several years ago.
I thought it was such a cool way to spell it.
Marie is my Maternal Grandmother's middle name, and my middle name.
I really want to carry on my Grandmother's name in some way.
She meant a lot to me, and my children will never get to meet her in this life.
Granna, take care of my baby for me =]
Love them, spoil them, and spend every second of the next 7 months with them.
We still have 10-12 weeks before we get to find out the gender.
At first we said we definitely wanted a boy, but as time goes on we are starting to warm up to the idea of a girl too.
No matter what, all we want is a happy healthy perfect little baby!!
I know it's cliche, but it's true!!
