So.. Day 1: Introduce.

My name is Amanda Marie. I was born in California, in 1988, and moved to Oregon with my family in 1991. I don't really remember anything about California, all my memories begin here. So I consider myself an Oregonian. I am the oldest of three children.

Being the oldest, I have always had a very protective attitude about those around me. If anyone ever bothered my younger siblings, I was right there in their face, standing up for them. This also spread out to my cousins as well. We have always been a very close family. One of my cousins especially, Gavyn, is only two months younger than me. We spent the majority of our childhoods together. He has always felt like more of a twin brother than a cousin. In grade school, people thought we actually really were twins. There have been some misunderstandings in our family with a few of my cousins, and I have always been the one to speak up for them. No one, and I mean NO one, gets away with insulting those close to my heart.

I'm also most definitely my Father's daughter. I'm feisty. I don't put up with a lot. Over the past few years, it has been more obvious. If someone is treating me wrong, it doesn't last long. I wont hesitate to correct them when they are wrong, and stand up for myself. I also have a very strong sense of right and wrong. Especially with anything ethical or moral. I hate hypocrites and liars more than anything else.

I am also very sentimental. My memories are my most precious possession. I love the smell of acrylic paint, old goofy songs, and cinnamon toast, because they remind me of my Grandma Anna Marie. I love the smell of lavendar, and new fabric, because they remind me of my Mom. Brake cleaner, old musty cars, gun powder, and campfires remind me of my Dad. These will always be near and dear to me.

I can also be very deep. I love music with meaningful lyrics, and singers who really put their soul into their work. I love talking with people about personal things. Like our fears, hopes, memories, and loves. I try very hard to be real. To show who I really am, and not conform to what others want me to be.

When it comes to friendships, I like to think of myself as a very loyal friend. I try very hard to be. I also feel strongly that I should be treated the same way. If I feel like I am doing all the work in a friendship, and I am not getting anything in return, I will abandon that friendship. Likewise, it is very hard for me to build up enough trust to have a really strong friendship with people.

If anyone bothers to actually read this, I hope you will post this on your blog as well. I would love to get to know more about you all =]

Awesome idea! I'm totally stealing it since I've run out of blogging ideas at the moment! :]
