Amanda's Tips for Saving Gas

1. Drive like a grandma.
- Yeah, it sucks, but it's true. Every time you press on your gas pedal, you are literally squirting more gas into your engine. Slow acceleration is key. And if nothing else, it'll teach you patience. (Something I need a lot more of) I gained about 2-3 mpg doing this =]

2. Top it off frequently.
- Fill it all the way up, and then top it off frequently. Gas prices are going up every day. If you wait until it is bone dry, you are going to have to pay for a full tank at that price. It's better to just pay small amounts. I calculated it out, I'm saving about $5 a month this way =]

3. Hijack a tanker truck.
- First, make sure it's full... and then split it with me =]

*NOTE* Numbers 1 and 2 are actually true. I'm not just theorizing. I picked these tips up from the guys at work ( I work in an auto repair shop, these boys know what they're talking about) =]
